CHEMICAL PEEL

Dentistry Specialist in Chemical Peeling in Brazil Rio de Janeiro, Barra da Tijuca

What is chemical peeling?

This is a procedure carried out by applying substances (most often acids) to the surface of the skin with the aim of accelerating the skin renewal process.
In addition to skin peeling, collagen production is stimulated, pigmentation is uniformized, pores are reduced and skin texture is improved.

The most commonly used substances are Glycolic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Trichloroacetic Acid, Jessner’s Solution, Resorcina Paste, among others. Combinations of more than one acid can also be made.

Depending on the substance used and its concentration, peelings can be superficial, medium and deep.

Peeling indications?

Chemical Peels are indicated to reduce wrinkles, scars, blemishes and to improve acne lesions (we can also fill lesions with Hyaluonic Acid), often associated with SCULPTRA collagen biostimulators.

Preparation

Care after peeling:

The deeper the peeling, the longer the recovery time. This period can vary from 1 to 2 days, or even weeks, with the use of sunscreen and regenerating products being mandatory, and facial moisturizer is mandatory during this period.
