Not just another filler. Sculptra is a biostimulatory aesthetic injectable that helps stimulate your own natural collagen production to smooth facial wrinkles and improve skin tightness, revealing a refreshed-looking you.

Sculptra® activates the power in your face and body skin, stimulating the production of your own collagen. With Sculptra you improve quality, restore firmness and restore support to your skin.

WHY SCULPTRA?

Sculptra activates the body’s ability to produce its own collagen, restoring the skin’s structure and renewing its natural firmness.1 Collagen is a fibrous protein in the deepest layers of the skin and is essential for keeping the skin young and healthy. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases. Over time, the loss of collagen causes the skin to become more saggy and loose. Sculptra is the original collagen bio-stimulator that renews the skin of your face and body gradually and lastingly, stimulating the production of your own collagen.

What is SCULPTRA?

PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) is a biostimulatory treatment, that is, it works by stimulating the natural production of collagen by the skin. It is a biocompatible synthetic substance and is entirely absorbed by the body. The product is injected into the skin through needles or micro cannulas (thin like needles, but without a sharp tip) in areas of loss of volume or sagging.
This is a new rejuvenation concept that aims to restore collagen. The improvement in skin thickness and volumetric replacement do not occur due to the inclusion of the product, but due to an increase in collagen that its presence generates in the skin. With this result, there is a significant improvement in the sagging and thinning of the skin that occurs over time.

Main indications for SCULPTRA

The main indication is the restoration of volume and the treatment of sagging. Despite being injected into specific areas of the facial contour and skin-bearing areas such as the malar region and temples, its action is reflected in areas such as the nasolabial region (between the nose and lips), eyebrow region, etc. Good candidates for Sculptra treatments are those who want to restore the shape of their face slowly and gradually, without modifying the original shape of their face.
The product presents the best results in patients with loss of skin turgor and reduction in volume due to aging or weight loss. Performance athletes, who have a low percentage of body fat and consequently low fat on the face, are also great candidates. It can also be used on the neck with excellent results to prevent neck lines and reduce sagging.

Preparing the Face to apply SCULPTRA

There is no need for special preparation, just skin asepsis.
After care
Most people can return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Swelling, bruising, and other side effects are usually mild and go away within a few days. We recommend massages 5 times a day for 5 days and recommend multivitamin supplementation to enhance results.

Sessions

The number of sessions, the amount of product applied in each session and the application locations depend on professional assessment. The particularities of each patient must be taken into account. Depending on the degree of sagging and the areas to be treated, on average, 2 to 4 sessions are required, with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks between them.
Even though the main indication is after the age of 25, preventive treatments can be carried out earlier. In this case, single annual sessions are recommended.

Duration

The results can last up to 2 years, but 1 session is recommended every 12 to 18 months, as the aging process continues to occur.

Contraindications

People suffering from autoimmune diseases and the immunocompromised, pregnant women, patients who have had permanent fillers in the same area to be treated.
If the patient uses medications such as anticoagulants, anti-inflammatories or other medications, it is also important to discuss with the professional to ensure that there are conditions to carry out the treatment.

Sculptra is used for aesthetic treatments, promoting skin tension and thus improving wrinkles, expression marks and sagging, leaving more defined contours.

This procedure is recommended for patients who have flaccidity and want to improve their facial and body contours.

The average duration is two years, but if the patient maintains good eating habits and daily care, this time can be extended.

The skin is prepared with anesthetic and Sculptra is applied with injections into deep layers of the skin. The number of sessions depends on the treatment and the interval between sessions should be 30 to 60 days, depending on the recommendation. On average, there are two to three sessions.

Sculptra helps the skin’s collagen production, stimulating the presence of fibroblast cells, adding volume and improving facial contour.

The patient can return to their normal activities on the same day. The area where Sculptra was applied may show redness and swelling, but this will resolve in a short time.

Skin massage is recommended with a moisturizing cream recommended by the professional for at least five days, in addition to using sunscreen daily.
